Transcripts & Diplomas

Diplomas

The cost for a duplicate high school diploma is $35.00 cash/money order.  These are the details you will need to provide to process it:  Your name as it was when you graduated, your date of birth, an address where you want the diploma mailed to and a phone # in case there is a problem processing it.  It takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks to receive the diploma.   Please contact our Registrar, Beth Hankins, via email at: beth.hankins@simivalleyusd.org. or call at 805-577-1400 x6725

Transcript Requests for Alumni

For transcript requests, mail a signed letter to the address below and include the following:

Counseling Office, Attn: Transcript Requests
5400 Cochran St.
Simi Valley, CA 93063

 

  1. $5.00 per transcript. Payment accepted in cash, money order or cashier's check ONLY.
  2. Name attended under.
  3. Date of birth.
  4. Year of graduation or the year last attended.
  5. Complete address of where transcript should be sent.
  6. Current phone number (in case there are any questions related to the transcript request).


Note the following:

  • If the transcript(s) will be personally picked up rather than mailed, please bring a valid form of identification.
  • If you would like someone to pick up your transcript(s) on your behalf, please provide a notarized letter authorizing release of the transcript(s).
  • The transcript(s) will be mailed via First Class Mail. Expedited mailing services are not available.
  • Personal checks and credit/debit cards are not accepted as forms of payment.

Transcript Requests for Current Students & Class of 2019

If you are a current student or Class of 2019, please use Naviance to request a copy of your official transcript. 

 

Requesting Transcripts for College:

  1. Login to Naviance (Username- State Student ID Number; Password- First Name with First Letter Capitalized)
  2. Select the "Colleges" tab, then click on "Colleges - I'm applying to"
  3. Select college(s), then click on  "+ Request Transcripts" (on top right)
  4. Select the type of transcript you need under "What type of transcript are you requesting?"
    1. Note: Disregard the options for including "unofficial SAT scores" and "unofficial ACT scores." We do not send those. YOU must request official SAT and ACT scores directly from the College Board or the ACT.
    2. Note: Please only select the options for sending "Initial" and "Mid-Year" transcripts if your college requires them!
    3. Note: If your schools aren't listed, it's because you haven't added them! That's okay. You can lookup colleges and add them to your list by clicking on the "Colleges" tab then selecting "Colleges - I'm applying to". Click on the pink "+" (upper right corner). Please search for your college(s) by name under "Which college are you applying to?". Be sure to set the appropriate application type (i.e. Regular Decision, Early Action, etc.). Also indicate how you have submitted your college application (Direct to institution or Common App). Check the "I've submitted my application" box. To finalize, click on "Add Application".
  5. Double check the college(s) under "Where are you sending the transcript/s?"
  6. To finish, please click on "Request and Finish".

Requesting Transcripts for Scholarships/ Athletics:

  1. Login to Naviance (Username- State Student ID Number; Password- First Name with First Letter Capitalized)
  2. Select the "Colleges" tab, then click on "Colleges - I'm applying to"
  3. Select "Manage Transcripts" (upper middle of page), then click on the pink "+" (upper right corner). Select "Other Transcript".
  4. Select the type of transcript you need under "What type of transcript are you requesting?"
  5. Under "What is this transcript for?" select from the three options, "Scholarships, Athletics or Other"
    1. Note: Disregard the options for including "unofficial SAT scores" and "unofficial ACT scores." We do not send those. YOU must request official SAT and ACT scores directly from the College Board or the ACT.
  6. Let us know when the transcript is due by completing the "When is this transcript due?" section.
  7. Complete all fields of the "Where are you sending the transcript?" section to request the transcript(s) you need:
    1. Recipient Name (can be a business, organization, association, etc.)
    2. Address
    3. Other notes
      1. Example Note: "I will be picking up my transcript at lunch next Monday. Please do not mail!"
  8. To finish, please click on "Request and Finish".

You can track the status of your transcript requests via the "Manage Transcripts" link in Naviance.

FAQ's for Transcripts:

Do UC's require transcripts at the time of application? 

NOPE! You do not need to request these. UC's only require final transcripts to show proof of spring grades senior year and proof of graduation.

 

Do CSU's require transcripts at the time of application? 

NOT REALLY! Most CSU's do not require transcripts at the time of application, with the exception of a few campuses and/or programs. To see if you need transcripts for your CSU's, please click HERE.

 

Do out of state or private colleges require transcripts at the time of application?

IT DEPENDS! Some schools do and some do not. Please check with each of your colleges to confirm their requirements.
