What is an athletic trainer?

What is an athletic trainer? As stated by the National Athletic Trainers' Association, an athletic trainer is a highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professional who provide services such as primary care, injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and and medical conditions.

Athletic Trainers are certified by the Board of Certification for Athletic trainers and are required to complete an accredited athletic training program where they learn all that is needed to start providing care upon graduation.

About ms. adelman

Ms. Adelman is a certified athletic trainer who graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and passed her Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers in 2019. She is very passionate about providing a safe, optimal environment for athletes to heal from their injuries and safely return to their sport. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dog, hiking, playing tennis, and painting.
